With 38 years of banking experience, primarily in commercial lending and executive management, Gregory Frederick brings strong leadership, industry knowledge, and a relationship-focused approach to his role at The National Bank of Blacksburg. “What I appreciate most about community banking is the opportunity to build strong relationships and help businesses and families succeed over the long term,” Gregory said.
Before entering commercial banking in 1988, Gregory served for six years as a pilot in the United States Air Force. Born and raised in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, he earned a business degree from North Carolina State University, an MBA from Georgia College & State University, and graduated from the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.
Gregory has been married to his high school sweetheart for 42 years, and together they have a son, a daughter, and three grandchildren. Outside of work, he enjoys sporting clays and surf fishing.
