The National Bank of Blacksburg (“National Bank”) is pleased to announce that Philip Walker has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Branch Administration. Mr. Walker oversees operations at the bank’s 28 branch offices located across southwest, western, and central Virginia.

Mr. Walker joined National Bank as a Management Trainee in 2006. He was promoted to Office Manager at the bank’s downtown Pulaski office in 2008 and was promoted to Assistant Vice President and Loan Officer in Blacksburg in 2016. Mr. Walker was promoted to Vice President and Regional Manager in 2018 and was named Vice President and Branch Administrator in 2024.
Mr. Walker earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Marketing and Management from Radford University, and he is a graduate of the Virginia Bankers Association’s School of Bank Management. He currently serves as Vice President of the New River Valley Home Builders Association.
Mr. Walker and his wife, Jessica, live in Christiansburg with their daughter.
