The National Bank of Blacksburg is pleased to announce that Robyn Wilson was promoted to Senior Vice President/Compliance & Bank Secrecy Act Officer. Ms. Wilson will oversee the bank’s regulatory compliance program, ensuring adherence to evolving regulatory requirements while supporting the organization’s risk management and operational effectiveness.

Ms. Wilson joins National Bank with over 37 years of experience in the financial services industry. She began her career as a Bank Examiner at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency where she evaluated national banks for regulatory compliance and operational effectiveness. She later held various risk, audit, and compliance roles with a large national financial institution before serving in senior compliance leadership positions at community banks and credit unions throughout the Roanoke and Hampton, VA regions.
Ms. Wilson earned her BA in Management from Lynchburg College. She holds several industry certifications, including Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) and Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), reflecting her commitment to maintaining a high level of expertise in an ever-evolving regulatory environment.
Originally from the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Ms. Wilson now lives in Roanoke with her husband, John, and their daughter, Cara. In her free time, Robyn enjoys boutique shopping, traveling, and watching tennis. She is a passionate animal lover and enjoys visiting zoos and spending time with her golden retriever, Chrisley.
