National Bankshares, Inc. Promotes Michelle Harris to Corporate Auditor

James G. Rakes, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of National Bankshares, Inc., announces the promotion of Michelle Harris to Corporate Auditor.

Harris joined National Bankshares in 1998 as an Assistant Auditor. She became a Certified Financial Services Auditor in 2003 and was promoted to Audit Officer in 2008.

“We’re pleased to recognize Michelle’s hard work and dedication with this promotion,” said Rakes. “Her skills and expertise have made her an important part of our team and we look forward to working with her in the years to come.”

A native of Peterstown, WV, Harris received her Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Bluefield State College. She currently lives in Blacksburg with her husband and two daughters. Harris is a member of the Blacksburg Christian Fellowship where she serves as Pioneer Girls Leader. She is also Vice President of the Blacksburg Middle School PTO and a member of the Margaret Beeks PTO.
